Aðalstræti 10 is the oldest house in Reykjavík’s city centre (dating from 1762). It has been converted into a museum housing a series of exciting exhibitions focusing on the city’s history.

Family-friendly and informative exhibition about the development of Reykjavík from a farm to a city. Visitors get an insight into the complex history of Reykjavík through the development of house construction and planning.

The ticket is also valid for the Settlement Exhibition nearby (Aðalstræti 16). Guided tours on weekdays at 11:00 from June to August.
